It’s March already – and before we all know it, those warmer temperatures will start catching up to us! Here are some fun events for families, couples, and individuals to embrace the last of the cool weather as we head into SXSW season.

Whether you’re looking for a movie night, a family adventure, a wine tasting or a craft/vendor fair, there’s plenty going on in Leander in March 2020!

Georgetown Swirl


When: March 7

Time: 5 PM

Where: Downtown Leander, various shops

Texas wineries and eateries come together for this local event in downtown Georgetown to bring you the best samples Williamson County has to offer! Attendees get a tasting glass and 10 wine samples. Cost is $50, $125 for VIP.

The Farewell

When: March 11

Time: 6:30 PM

Where: Georgetown Public Library

Join Georgetown Public Library for their Cinema Club series. This month’s selection is the award-winning “The Farewell”, the story of a Chinese family who works together to stage an impromptu wedding to surprise their grandmother, who only has a short time to live. A truly touching tale we think you’ll love. Cost is free.


Sun City Vendor Fair

When: March 13

Time: 9 AM-2 PM

Where: Sun City Texas Community Association

Come meet local businesses ready to fit your needs. The Vendor fair offers everything from health care services to contractors and more. Find the right person to take care of your next big project here!

Leprechaun Lane


When: March 14

Time: 8 AM-11 AM

Where: Berry Springs Park and Preserve

This race includes 1 mile, 5K, and 10K dashes, as well as a free dash for the kids! Cost is $24 for the 1 mile, and $29 for the 5 and 10K. Bring the whole family and wear your St. Patty’s Day best!
